Ex joining the Church [Dec. 14th, 2005|09:29 am]

ilurvekelly
My ex-boyfriend has been taking the disscussions and wants to get baptized. I want to show him my support for his decision but I do NOT want him to think we are going to get back together. Its already awkward seeing him at church. I broke it off because he was pushing me too far towards marriage and I don't love him enough to marry him. Second, I am only 17 years old for crying out loud. I just want him to stay away from me and my life, but I know the church is good for him. I just don't want to open up the communication lines again because I moved on and he needs to move on.

Youth Conference 2005 (Kuching District @ Malaysia) [Dec. 12th, 2005|12:03 pm]

Kuching District Youth Conference 2005 (and District Conference) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the Sibu YMCA camp from December 8 - 11 was a very fulfilling experience and probably better than last year. I'm very glad that I was able to join, and I thank my parents, my siblings and God for that. I confess that I did write in my journal every day during the camp, and I'm sorry. I'll just write a brief account of it.

If you were (or had to be) related to Hillary Weeks, Janice Cap Perry, or Sally DeFord, who would you choose?

Sorry [Oct. 5th, 2005|12:16 pm]

Apologies if this doesn't quite go along with the community but I ran across a bit of funny...

Someone came up with the plan of eSalvation. They basically took scriptures and made it to fit the creation of livejournal and such.

I hope no one gets offended, but I found it humorous and wanted to share.

General Conference [Oct. 2nd, 2005|08:25 am]

ilurvekelly
I am really enjoying General Conference so far. There have been some really good and uplifting talks. I particularly liked the talk on women. It was the first time I ever cried during conference. I hope that there will be some equally uplifting talks today.

oh yeah.... I have the seminary devotional on tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had any good thoughts or scriptures I could use. The topic doesn't matter.

I want to thank everyone who left comments on my entry I posted here. I feel real special to know that other people feel the way I do. It makes me feel loved and cared for when people leave me comments to show their support and concern. I am so glad that I can feel so open to this community and not feel judged by other LDS young women around the country. My life has been improving dramatically though. I am still not getting enough sleep with early morning seminary but otherwise I'm doing better. I have been able to better stand up for my school choice and I am excited for my chance to possibly go to Southern Utah University. I may be still going to Utah but I realized that its ok to not go to the Y. We are everywhere and as long as you follow your heart, you'll be ready for the challenges that are yet to come.

I still have many challenges in my life, especially for the fact that I am 1 of about 5 other LDS kids at my high school. My devoted life to the drama department also forces me to face the contraversory of homosexuality and unmoral life styles. My friends at my school are not your average people, but they keep my life interesting and full of surprises. Its really hard not to be critical of my friends, when I know that they are doing the wrong things. I know my example is alll they need.
